Silicone slow feeding bowl and licking mat for dogs with 15.8cm diameter

This pet feeding accessory combines two functions in one: a slow feeder bowl designed to extend mealtime and a textured licking mat surface. Made from edible grade silicone, it provides a safe material for dogs to interact with during feeding. The bowl measures 15.8cm across and 8cm tall, offering a compact size suitable for small to medium breeds. Its primary purpose is to encourage slower, more deliberate eating habits through puzzle-like engagement with food.

Features and Construction

The bowl's construction focuses on practical feeding solutions for dogs who eat too quickly. The edible grade silicone material forms both the bowl structure and the textured licking surface.

Material and Build

Constructed entirely from edible grade silicone, this bowl uses a material that is soft, flexible, and designed for safe contact with pet food. Silicone's properties allow the bowl to be durable enough for regular use while remaining lightweight. The material choice supports easy cleaning between meals and provides a surface texture suitable for licking activities.

Size and Practical Fit

With a diameter of 15.8cm and height of 8cm, this bowl offers a compact footprint suitable for placement in various feeding areas. The dimensions work for small to medium-sized dogs, providing adequate space for food distribution across the licking mat surface while not occupying excessive room. The suction cup base requires a smooth surface area of at least the bowl's diameter for secure attachment.

Uses and Placement

This product serves as both feeding equipment and behavioural enrichment tool. The dual-function design addresses common feeding challenges while providing mental stimulation.

Event or Professional Use

The bowl can be used in training scenarios where slow feeding is encouraged, or in multi-pet households where controlling eating pace is beneficial. Its suction cup base helps maintain position during active licking sessions, reducing spills and movement during use. The simple design allows for quick cleaning between different dogs or feeding sessions.

Everyday Home Use

For daily meals, this bowl turns feeding into an engaging activity rather than a quick consumption event. Dogs must lick and work at the textured surface to access their food, naturally slowing their eating pace. The cyan, grey, and pink colour options allow for selection based on personal preference or to coordinate with other pet accessories in the home.

Benefits and Buying Value

This slow feeding bowl provides practical solutions for common canine feeding behaviours. Its value comes from addressing specific eating patterns while using straightforward materials.

Reuse and Low Maintenance

The silicone construction supports repeated use with minimal wear concerns. Being dishwasher safe or easily washed by hand, it requires little specialised care. The material's flexibility means it can be folded or compressed for storage when not in use, though it should be stored flat to maintain its bowl shape.

Why Choose This Product

This bowl offers a combined solution for dogs who benefit from slower feeding paces. The inclusion of both licking mat textures and suction cup stability addresses two aspects of controlled feeding: extending mealtime duration and preventing bowl movement. The 15.8cm diameter provides a defined size suitable for portion control while the edible grade silicone ensures material safety for regular food contact.
