Wireless Bluetooth Gamepad with NFC for Switch and Windows PC Gaming

This wireless gamepad serves as a third-party controller compatible with Nintendo Switch consoles and Windows PC systems, offering an alternative input device for gaming sessions. Designed for entry-level use, it provides core gaming functions without complex setup, making it suitable for casual players or as an additional controller for multiplayer games supporting up to four participants. The controller connects wirelessly via Bluetooth, eliminating cable clutter and allowing flexible positioning during play.

Features and Construction

The gamepad integrates several gaming-focused features supported by its hardware design. Its construction centres on providing functional inputs and feedback mechanisms typical of modern controllers.

Material and Build

The controller housing is made from ABS plastic, a material commonly used in electronics for its balance of strength and weight. This contributes to the controller's total weight of 235g, making it lightweight and easy to handle during extended gaming periods. The build includes standard button layouts and a Type-C port for connectivity and power, ensuring compatibility with common charging cables.

Size and Practical Fit

With dimensions of 155mm in width, 106mm in height, and 60mm in depth, the gamepad offers a compact form factor designed for handheld use. These measurements provide a sense of the controller's grip size and portability, fitting within typical ranges for gamepads intended for both console and PC gaming. The size accommodates the integrated features like the gyroscope and vibration motors within its structure.

Uses and Placement

This controller is intended for gaming applications on specified platforms. Its functionality aligns with common gaming scenarios where wireless control and basic feature sets are required.

Event or Professional Use

For local multiplayer gaming events or casual tournaments, the controller's support for up to four players allows it to function as part of a set of controllers for group play. Its entry-level rating indicates it is suited for general gameplay rather than competitive professional use. The wireless Bluetooth connectivity facilitates setup in various room configurations without requiring wired connections to the host device.

Everyday Home Use

In home environments, the gamepad provides a wireless solution for playing games on a Switch console or a Windows PC. The NFC function can be used for compatible games that utilise amiibo or similar figurine-based interactions. The dual vibration feedback adds a tactile dimension to gameplay during action sequences or specific in-game events, enhancing the standard gaming experience at home.

Benefits and Buying Value

The controller offers practical advantages based on its stated specifications and compatibility. Its value stems from providing multiple functions in a single wireless device.

Reuse and Low Maintenance

The ABS plastic construction is resilient to regular handling, and the Type-C port offers a widely supported connection for charging. The wireless design reduces wear on physical connectors that can occur with frequent plugging and unplugging. Basic care involves keeping the controller clean and storing it with the supplied packing box when not in use.
